Clohars-Carnoët, a little town along the Atlantic coast in the South Finistère, is located in between Le Pouldu and Doelan. The area is renowned for its landscapes painted by Gauguin, Serusier and Meyer de Haan.

While on your walks, you will discover our amazingly rich cultural and natural heritage: Le Pouldu and its Chemin des peintres (Painter’s Pathway), Mary Henry’s House where Paul Gauguin and the painters of the School of Pont Aven lived for a while ; the old royal forest of Carnoet and the ruins of the St Maurice Abbey ; the fishing ports of Doëlan, Merrien, Brigneau and le Belon ; the coastal paths and their breathtaking landscapes between sea and countryside ; Quimperlé and its Sainte Croix Abbey ; Pont Aven and its many art galleries and of course its delicious and world famous galettes ; Quimper, its cathedral and its famous "faiences" etc...

Sylviane and Don, a French-American couple have restored, in respect of the old architectural tradition and with natural materials, a 19th century stone longere (stone farm building). There are 4 spacious and luxurious guests rooms each decorated in its own unique style.
Each room includes a private bath.

After a day in the fresh air touring the countryside and quaint sites of South Brittany, or a round of golf on one of the nearby courses of Queven or Ploemeur, you will enjoy the tranquillity of the Bed and breakfast's living room with its fireplace and library.

Sylviane and Don live close by and will be there in attendance to help to make your stay "très magnifique".
